# Delivery by order statuses

You can use the **Delivery by order statuses** option to adequately calculate the [Estimated time of arrival (ETA)](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/delivery/functions/eta.md) and send [SMS notifications](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/extras/sms-setting.md) if delivery is carried out through the mobile app in manual mode. [Learn more](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/courier-app/functions/delivery.md#manual-delivery)

{% note warning %}

If [automatic delivery is set up](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/delivery/interface/company.md#auto-delivery), the option doesn't affect the calculation of the ETA.

{% endnote %}

This option is useful in the following situations:

- There are technical or organizational difficulties with constantly receiving coordinates from the [mobile app](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/courier-app/index.md).
- Orders have inaccurate coordinates. For example, the actual location of loading or unloading the delivery doesn't match the coordinates of the destination. [Learn more](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/delivery/functions/specify-coordinates.md)

In manual mode, the order visit is counted when the courier marks the delivery in the mobile app even if the system didn't record them entering into the delivery radius.

**Enabled**

: When calculating the ETA, the sequence in which the delivery statuses were set is taken into account. The actual sequence of visiting orders based on the [visit detection](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/delivery/functions/visit-detection.md) logic is ignored.

  If the order visit time and the time when the order was manually marked as delivered don't match, the ETA may be calculated inaccurately.

**Disabled**

: When calculating the ETA, the actual sequence of visiting orders based on the [visit detection](https://docs.routeq.com/doc/en/delivery/functions/visit-detection.md) logic is taken into account. The order in which the statuses were set doesn't matter.
