Setting up data transfer from devices
The Track & Trace API relies on couriers sending their order status and current location data.
The API supports sending data through the app or GPS trackers.
App
The actual data from the Yandex Courier mobile app is sent automatically after the route is selected.
Enabling access for couriers
To grant couriers access to the Yandex Courier app:
- Log in to your company account and go to Routing workspace.
- In the menu on the left, go to Settings → Mobile app.
- Add the couriers' phone numbers in
+1**********
format.
Instructions and a video tutorial for the app are available in the Yandex Courier section.
GPS tracker
Sending actual data from the GPS tracker is possible using the ERA GLONASS Telematics Standard pursuant to order No. 285 (EGTS) of the Russian Ministry of Transport, or the FLEX protocol. Data from the GPS tracker must be sent in real time.

Notes:
- Devices are identified by a terminal ID: a number set by the device owner and sent in the protocol service data. The API only supports numeric IDs and IMEIs. The IMEI number consists of 15–17 digits. To avoid linking the device ID to the IMEI number, we recommend specifying the IMEI number when planning.
- The device ID, TID, and GPRS module IMEI are different numbers.
- The system ignores location messages with a time delay of more than one day.
- For EGTS:
- The unique TID is specified in the device documentation. The TID is considered equal to the IMEI number if the
EGTS_SR_TERM_IDENTITY
package with the TID-IMEI link wasn't sent. - Authorization not supported.
- The unique TID is specified in the device documentation. The TID is considered equal to the IMEI number if the
