Setting up data transfer from devices
To work with the Track & Trace API, couriers must send their order status and current location data.
The API supports sending data through the app or a GPS tracker.
Through the app
The actual data from the Yandex Courier app is sent to the service automatically after the route is selected.
Enabling access for couriers:
To grant couriers access to the Yandex Courier app:
- Go to the routing workspace interface https://yandex.com/courier and log into your company's account.
- In the menu on the left, go to.
- Add the couriers' phone numbers in the format “+1**********”.
Instructions and a video tutorial for the app are available in Yandex Courier application.
GPS tracker
The actual data from the GPS tracker is sent using the ERA GLONASS Telematics Standard pursuant to order No. 285 (EGTS) of the Russian Ministry of Transport. Data from the GPS tracker must be sent in real time.

Notes:
Devices are identified by a “terminal ID”: a number set by the device owner and sent in the EGTS service data. The device ID and GPRS module IMEI are different numbers. The IMEI consists of 15 to 17 digits. The API only supports numeric IDs and IMEIs.
The system ignores location messages with a time delay of more than one day.
